Day Road trip to Beachy Head and Eastbourne
2016 was the year that I decided to explore Britain more seriously. I first felt in love with Durdle Door, and soon after I realised that there was a whole new world that needed to be explored outside London.
This year I have explored from East to West
Eastbourne- Beachy Head - Brighton - Worthing - Durdle Door - Weymouth - West Bay - Lyme Regis - Porthcurno Beach - Land's End - Newquay
We packed a few blankets, warm clothes, my gear and happiness and we headed off to East Sussex. If you decide to explore the coast in UK, any beach places be aware of the wind. It can be very windy no matter of the temperature, so make sure you check the weather and dress accordingly. If you are not from the UK and you are visiting I recommend getting BBC Weather App on your phone, is the most accurate and with the ever changing weather here it will come very handy.
Beachy Head is about 10 minutes drive from Eastbourne. Unfortunately the road to Seven Sister's was closed, and only available by foot, and with the time constrain I didn't get to see Seven Sisters too. Being on the cost is thrilling and scary at the same time. The cliffs are really high and abrupt, and with the strong winds you can easily get in trouble, let's say.
Thoughts from the trip
Every time I explore, even if it's just a day road trip, I learn something new. This time I learned that family is very important in someone's life, and no matter how fucked up you think your family is, it will always be there for you ( I am not saying they are not exceptions). However always communicate and love each other.
I have also learned that nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. That morning, my flu had had me nocked over, but I did not want to give up. I love exploring more than anything, and despite all my body telling me I should be at home resting, I went. Standing on the cliff looking forward the adrenaline kicked in and I was happy. I realised that nothing really can stop you, but you. Your thoughts. You are what you think you are. If you think you are ill, upset, unfortunate etc, you will be so. Change your thinking and reach your potential today!
Eastbourne chilling on the beach...
For a day at the end of September the weather was in the end beautiful. We almost went through 4 seasons in one day. Don't be deceived by the sun in the picture, it was a beautiful Autumn sun.
After shooting all day we stopped at Bill's in Eastbourne. Staff was friendly, and I love the new design that Bill's has. The food was great and well deserved after hard work and exploring.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did please share it. If you have been to Beachy Head or Eastbourne let me know in the comments. Also if you have any recommendations I would love to hear.
