Gran Canaria Aventures | Photo Travel Diary | Curated by Mon
My oasis in the Atlantic Ocean
Usually when I travel I let it sink in and once I'm at the airport I get this joy and happiness. However here I was at the airport and the only thought that crossed my mind is that I am doing what I dreamed of since I was little. Yes, my dream was about sitting at the airport, with my laptop, writing my thoughts away. I remember my mum laughing at me then, and probably she will still laugh now.
It was a while since I've last traveled, and the end of 2016 was approaching fast. I wasn't really processing the time flying away; it only seems like yesterday when I visited Lisbon, Valencia, Toronto and many other destinations.
Airport time is also people watching time but on this occasion, there was no time for that and I quickly packed my laptop and ran to the gate. One more check in and a few lattes later I am adventuring to Gran Canaria again. Again, because it kinda' turned into a tradition to go every year.
I was going to give you a breakdown of where to go and travel tips, but I won't go in much detail. Check out my other post of some of the beaches I went to. Gran Canaria is like a chameleon it shapes itself on the person and you experience it depending on your needs. Every time I went, I discovered different things about myself and learned new things. Actually, I will give you one travel tip: always try and immerse yourself in the local culture, sort of like Eat, Pray, Love.
I will let the photos "speak" and feel free to get in touch with me on my social media if you want some tips.
