A couple of years ago I've seen a life coach. All went nice and smooth and she introduced me to this concept of "choice".
In a world where you pretty much get told what to choose - subconsciously- by society and in your face by parents and less from friends; it didn't really clicked to me that I can actually be responsible for my own choices.
I didn't need a friend or a family member to tell me who I was, where I wanted to be. I didn't need society to tell me what to wear and which movement to believe in.
You may think - "well everyone knows that". Surely everyone knows it, I don't deny it. I knew it too. But there is a difference between knowing and acting upon it.
This doesn't mean that I will shave my head and rebel against the system - although I wish i had the balls to shave my hair.
This means I am aware of my surroundings. It means I am in control of my choices. It means I can say no. It means I can try something and say my opinion. It means I have a voice.
I hope this post to inspire you to find your voice. Let me know your thoughts about being in control of your choices, and how do you think it affects your life! I'd love to start a conversation.
